Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to make waves in IPL 2025—not just with his bat, but also with memorable off-field moments. After the RR vs PBKS clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Suryavanshi was seen having a warm interaction with Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta, much to the delight of fans.
The Royals’ official handle shared the adorable video with the caption: “Flex levels at school: Vaibhav Suryavanshi.” In the clip, Zinta was first seen chatting with RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal before expressing interest in meeting the young Suryavanshi. Accompanied by PBKS batter Shashank Singh, she approached the teenager, who greeted her with a smile and a handshake.
Suryavanshi’s Rise and RR’s Exit
Despite Rajasthan Royals being out of playoff contention, Suryavanshi has been a shining light in their otherwise disappointing campaign. The southpaw has scored 195 runs in 6 games at an average of 32.50 and a blistering strike rate of 219.10, including a century against Gujarat Titans.
Punjab Kings Qualify for Playoffs
On the flip side, Punjab Kings (PBKS), led by Shreyas Iyer, secured a vital win by 10 runs over RR and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 11 years. They currently sit third on the IPL 2025 points table with 17 points.
