IPL 2025 Orange & Purple Cap Standings Updated After PBKS vs MI

Arshdeep, Surya Rise in IPL 2025 Cap Race After PBKS vs MI

Punjab Kings’ win over Mumbai Indians on Monday night didn’t just confirm their top-two finish—it also shook up the IPL 2025 Orange and Purple Cap tables. With only one league match remaining, key players like Suryakumar Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Virat Kohli, and Josh Hazlewood are in close contention to finish the league stage on top.

Suryakumar Inches Closer to Orange Cap Top Spot

Suryakumar Yadav was once again MI’s top scorer, smashing 57 off 39 balls in a crucial game. He now has 640 runs, just 9 behind Shubman Gill, who currently holds second place. Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans leads the run charts and could become the first batter to score 700+ runs in IPL 2025 in their next match.

Virat Kohli, currently at No. 6 with 580 runs, will look to climb the chart in RCB’s final match against LSG. He’s just 11 runs short of overtaking Yashasvi Jaiswal (No. 5). LSG’s Mitchell Marsh also remains in contention with 560 runs, 80 behind Suryakumar.

For PBKS, it’s been a team effort.

  • Shreyas Iyer is their highest scorer with 514 runs (No. 9)
  • Prabhsimran Singh sits at No. 11 with 499 runs
  • Priyansh Arya is at No. 15 with 424 runs

Arshdeep Jumps to 5th in Purple Cap Standings

Arshdeep Singh delivered a strong performance against MI with 2/28, bringing his wicket tally to 18, and climbing to 5th place on the Purple Cap list.

Noor Ahmad of CSK still leads with 24 wickets, followed by Prasidh Krishna (GT) with 23. MI’s Trent Boult, though in the top 3 with 19 wickets, missed the chance to go higher after a wicketless outing.

Josh Hazlewood from RCB, who has 18 wickets, could leap past Boult if he performs well against LSG in RCB’s final match.
