Northampton, June 9 – India A continued their dominance over England Lions on Day 4 of the second unofficial Test in Northampton, reaching 268/7 at lunch and stretching their overall lead to 289 runs.
Strong Start to Final Day
Resuming the day at 163/4, Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy added 46 crucial runs. Jurel was dismissed for 28 by Eddie Jack, while Reddy scored a fluent 42 with four boundaries and a six. Shardul Thakur chipped in with a quickfire 34 before both fell to George Hill, who finished the session with 3/39.
India A’s First Innings Advantage
Earlier, India A posted 348 runs, powered by a century from KL Rahul (116) and supporting knocks from Abhimanyu Easwaran (80), Dhruv Jurel (52), and Karun Nair (40). The England Lions replied with 327 runs in their first innings, with Emilio Gay (71) and Tom Haines (54) leading the charge. However, Khaleel Ahmed’s spell of 4/70 derailed their middle-order momentum.
