Suryakumar Yadav’s Viral Post on MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube Lights Up Social Media After CSK’s Win Over LSG

Suryakumar Yadav’s Viral Post on Dhoni & Dube After CSK’s Comeback Win

Team India star Suryakumar Yadav once again proved he’s more than just a class cricketer—he’s also a true supporter of Indian talent. After Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ended their five-match losing streak in IPL 2025 with a win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Surya shared a light-hearted yet heartwarming post featuring MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube—and it has since gone viral.

A Movie-Inspired Tribute to a Real-Life Finish

Surya’s post referenced a scene from the Bollywood biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, adding his signature witty twist. In his Instagram story, he reimagined the conversation from the film using real-life photos of Dhoni and Dube:

“Mahi bhai- Strike dega toh tum bana lega?
Dube – Try kar lenge.
Mahi bhai – Try karna hai toh hum hi kar lete hai. Tum bas runout mat karwa dena.”

The post celebrated the duo’s unbeaten 57-run stand off just 27 balls that led CSK to a much-needed win. Surya’s message didn’t just entertain—it underlined the team spirit and experience that brought CSK back from the brink.

Dhoni and Dube Guide CSK to Victory

Coming in at No.7, MS Dhoni walked out when CSK needed 56 runs from 30 balls. Despite the pressure, the 43-year-old didn’t flinch. Dhoni smashed 26 off just 11 balls with 4 boundaries and a six, earning his first Player of the Match award in six years.

Shivam Dube, who top-scored for CSK with 43 off 37 balls, played the anchor role perfectly. The two built momentum after Dube’s four and Dhoni’s six off Shardul Thakur’s 17th over, then turned the match around in the 19th.

CSK Bowling Holds LSG Back

Earlier, CSK’s bowlers set up the win by restricting LSG to 166/7. Ravindra Jadeja (2/24), Anshul Kamboj (1/20), and Noor Ahmad (0/13) put in disciplined spells to ensure LSG didn’t get away at the death.

Surya Praises Indian Talent, Again

This isn’t the first time Suryakumar Yadav has used his platform to uplift fellow Indian cricketers. Just days before, he congratulated 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre for joining the CSK squad as an injury replacement. Surya’s continued encouragement of both young and experienced players reflects the camaraderie and respect within Indian cricket circles.
