Kieron Pollard Imitates Jasprit Bumrah to Get Hardik Pandya’s Attention | IPL 2025

Kieron Pollard Imitates Jasprit Bumrah in Hilarious Moment | IPL 2025

In a lighthearted moment during Mumbai Indians’ (MI) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), MI’s batting coach Kieron Pollard hilariously mimicked the bowling action of Jasprit Bumrah, creating a funny scene in the dugout. This came during a crucial moment when MI captain Hardik Pandya was deciding when to bring Bumrah back into the attack.

The Fun Moment from the MI Dugout

Jasprit Bumrah, who was making his return to competitive cricket after more than three months due to a back injury, was performing well with the ball. Having already bowled two overs in the powerplay, Bumrah was needed to bowl his third over in the 16th over of SRH’s innings. As the cameras captured the moment, it was clear that Hardik Pandya’s decision to bring Bumrah back came from MI’s think tank.

In a comedic gesture, MI’s coach Mahela Jayawardene and batting coach Kieron Pollard were seen playfully imitating Bumrah’s run-up and distinctive bowling action to signal to Pandya. The West Indian Pollard, known for his sense of humor, was seen mimicking Bumrah’s unique bowling style, leaving MI captain Rohit Sharma in fits of laughter. This moment added a touch of lightheartedness to an otherwise tense IPL match.

Bumrah’s Brilliant Performance

Despite the amusing moment in the dugout, Bumrah’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. He returned in the 16th over and bowled a tight spell, conceding just seven runs and keeping the SRH batters under control on a challenging Wankhede pitch. Later, in the 19th over, Bumrah struck gold with a sensational low full-toss that uprooted the off stump of South African Heinrich Klaasen, a key wicket in MI’s victory.

Bumrah’s disciplined performance contributed significantly to MI’s ability to choke SRH’s run flow, restricting them to 162/5 in their 20 overs.

MI’s Chase and Victory

In response, MI’s top-order batters played responsible cameos, ensuring they cruised towards the target without too many complications. Despite a few late wickets, MI chased down the target comfortably, securing a win with 11 balls to spare.

With this win, MI moved up to six points in the IPL 2025 points table, as they look to build on this momentum and climb further up the standings. Bumrah’s impactful return and Pollard’s funny antics in the dugout will surely be remembered as one of the highlights of the match.
