MS Dhoni Shuts Down Rumours About Drinking Five Litres of Milk Daily

MS Dhoni Debunks Milk Myth as CSK Struggles Continue in IPL 2025

Former India captain, MS Dhoni, has finally addressed the long-standing rumour surrounding his daily milk consumption. During a recent promotional event for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Dhoni laughed off the bizarre myth that he drinks five litres of milk every day to stay fit.

When asked about the “most ridiculous rumour” he had heard about himself, Dhoni responded, “I drink five litres of milk daily.” This rumour has been circulating among fans for years, especially since Dhoni’s early days in the IPL. However, the wicketkeeper-batter clarified that such a claim was far from the truth.

“I used to drink, maybe, a litre of milk spread throughout the day. But four litres – it’s a bit too much for anyone,” he explained, setting the record straight.

The myth about Dhoni’s milk consumption was believed to be tied to his strength and big-hitting ability on the field. Dhoni also addressed another bizarre rumour that he makes his lassi in a washing machine, stating, “First of all, I don’t drink lassi.”

Chennai Super Kings’ IPL 2025 Struggles

While Dhoni has debunked a longstanding rumour, the Chennai Super Kings’ struggles in IPL 2025 continue. With only four points from eight matches, the five-time champions are currently languishing at the bottom of the IPL standings. Their recent nine-wicket loss to Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium highlighted the team’s ongoing issues with both batting and fielding.

Dhoni, who was named the stand-in captain for CSK after Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury, has been under intense scrutiny. CSK’s batting performance has been inconsistent, with both the top and middle-order failing to deliver in key moments. Adding to the debate, Dhoni’s position in the batting order has been questioned after he was sent in at No. 9 on multiple occasions.

CSK’s Next Challenge

Chennai Super Kings will look to bounce back when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, April 25. The team will need to regroup quickly if they hope to stay alive in the IPL 2025 race.

While the team’s performance has been underwhelming, Dhoni remains a key figure in CSK’s leadership, and fans will be eager to see if the team can turn things around in the coming matches.
