Punjab Kings Get Major Boost as Marcus Stoinis and Josh Inglis Set to Return for IPL 2025

PBKS Boosted as Stoinis & Inglis Set for IPL Return

Punjab Kings (PBKS) have received a massive boost ahead of the IPL 2025 resumption, with Australian stars Marcus Stoinis and Josh Inglis expected to rejoin the squad before their clash against Delhi Capitals on May 24 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Stoinis & Inglis to Rejoin from DC Game

Both players are set to link up with PBKS ahead of their second fixture post-resumption, with sources confirming their availability for the May 24 showdown. Their return will add strength to PBKS’s batting and balance the squad in crunch situations.

Additionally, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Mitchell Owen have already confirmed their participation in the remainder of the season and are expected to join the camp in Jaipur by May 17.

“Stoinis and Inglis should be available from the DC game. Jansen, Bartlett, Omarzai, and Owen will arrive by Friday,” a PBKS source told IANS.

Revised IPL 2025 Schedule for PBKS

PBKS, led by Shreyas Iyer, currently sit third on the points table with 15 points from 11 matches. They are scheduled to play their final three group-stage matches in Jaipur:

  • May 18 vs Rajasthan Royals
  • May 24 vs Delhi Capitals
  • May 26 vs Mumbai Indians

Coaching Staff Stays Committed

Despite the IPL 2025 suspension due to the India-Pakistan military standoff earlier this month, PBKS head coach Ricky Ponting, along with assistants Brad Haddin and James Hopes, remained in India and have already rejoined the squad in Jaipur.
