Ian Bishop makes a bold prediction on Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh produced another masterclass with the bat as he scored a quickfire fifty. The KKR middle order batter remained 58 not out from 31 balls. For Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2023, Rinku Singh has been in deadly form, and on Friday in Match 19 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he was once again in top form. Despite being in excellent form, he was unable to replicate his heroics as KKR succumbed to SRH in the run chase by 23 runs.

Even with Rinku’s unbroken 58 runs off 31 balls, which included four fours and four sixes, with a goal of 229 runs, KKR only managed to reach 205/7 in 20 overs. In the meantime, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana also scored 75 runs off 41 balls, including six sixes.

When SRH first batted, Harry Brook slammed an unbeaten century (100* off 55 balls), helping them reach 228/4 in 20 overs. With four points from four games—two wins and two losses—KKR is now ranked fourth in the IPL 2023 standings.

Ian Bishop praised Rinku Singh of the KKR for his performances in the IPL 2023 and made a bold India A prediction. West Indies star Ian Bishop praised Rinku and made a major prediction for him while speaking on ESPNCricinfo.

“I am wondering when he gets an elevation. I saw him last season, there is something about him besides the numbers that we have seen. You look at his first-class records, so I am hoping an India A call-up is at least around the corner for him”, he said.

Meanwhile, Tom Moody added, “I suppose it is a case of where India sees him fitting into what format. What is it, where Rinku could be part of India’s white-ball campaign, whether be it 20-over cricket, 50-over, or Test cricket. So that call up I don’t disagree it and he is backing it up with these big numbers from first class cricket.”
